Question how does she get the police certificate in Poland? She was told by a family member that they send it to the Embassy when you request the police certificate in Warsaw. I thought she would have to go to her local police station and ask them for it. Any help on this issuse would be great and thanks in advance.

wait for instructions. They give an address in Warsaw. I called the embassy to ask if I can get in Lublin but they said no ( I don't know why). I had to make a trip to warsaw just to get that 1 piece of paper ( it was a year ago, i don'r know if it's changed). You fill out the form while waiting in a queue, they check in a computer, stamp it and give it back to you. Then I brought it to the embassy for my interview.

she may try calling sekcja konsularna +48 22 625 1042 ( fiancee visa) monday -friday 10-12 and 14-16.

Thank you for the help. Why wouldn't they be able to produce it in your city? Instead of having it done in Warsawa?

I have no idea. Maybe it's where the money should go ;-)

But maybe call and ask someone. I tried to find out but they told me : warsaw - so I blindly followed (I didn't want any trouble).

I am curious to hear what other Polish people did. Take care

I got mine years ago, but I had to do it in Warsaw too. That's where they give you all the docs for the Embassy. I don't know why, but it's been like that for years. You can only get it at that one place in Warsaw.

Hello Seb!

To get a police certificate in Poland I simply went to the court building in my hometown and asked for it in a room called " Oddzial Krajowego Rejestru Karnego"if i remember the name well. But you just go to the court building and explain what you need. There they should have the forms (the same the embassy sends you with all the information papers when they make an appointment for the interview with you)and you fill it in there, its just one page and you pay for it,they give you an official stample and thats it.It takes 10mins to get it.It was like that in my town at least:-)

Good luck!!!!

:-)

She got it in her hometown from the court house. Hopefully they will take that one. If not guess she will be running around Warsaw to get it. Next step for us is the medical exam as she has her interview date Jan 6th. Thanks for all the help.

I've read on the polish forum that she can get the police certificate from her hometown. I got it from Warsaw because I'd thought the people who work in the embassy pay attentiont to this, but apparently they don't. Therefore she should be fine.

I had my medical this passed Monday. If your fiance lives near Poznan I would recommend her doing her medical in Poznan. They do everything in one place.

She actually lives near Lomza so it's going to have to be done in Warsaw. I still remember mine I did it in Warsaw back in 1988 even that I lived in Wroclaw at a time with my mother as I was only a little kid at that time. We have a kinda neat story she is from a villiage right next to where my grandparents lived. Everyone jokes around that I traveled the world and came back to the next villiage over to pick my wife lol.
