Medical and Interview Reassurance (CR1 Moscow)

Hello all, I am process in helping my wife prepare for her interview and could use some help for those who are familiar with the process or have passed their interview. If there is anything i missed or feel that i should add, please feel free to comment

First, do i need a request a DS-3025 form, and have my wife fill out a DS-156 form or does it only apply to K1?

Does anyone know the required vaccinations prior to the medical exam?

I did a search and found this link, but I am not certain of how accurate or up-to-date it is http://www.***removed***/greencard/vaccinat...quirements.html

At the medical exam, my wife will need to bring the following:

1) x2 color photos measuring 3x4cm???

2) Travel passport

3 Medical History with the list of vaccination she received. [The document should include a doctors signature and stamp]

At the medical exam, my wife will need to bring the following:

1) Appointment letter

2) Medical results [sealed]

3) x2 photos measuring 5 cm by 5 cm???

4) IF a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa interview.

[ I'm pretty sure this is not applicble to me as i did not file a IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax ]

5) Evidence of Bona fide and ongoing relationship: Misc photo's, gift cards, chat logs, mailing receipts, and..... ?

6) Her Original Birth Certificate. I sent a certified copy at the NVC stage

Document Status Description

A = Applicant must acquire this document and present it at the time of the interview.

C = Direct inquiries to your consulate / embassy

F = This form is not necessary for this application.

O = The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post

requirements.

P = The police certificate must be requested by the applicant. If you have already

applied for this document, no further action is required. The issuing police authority will

send the police record directly to the appropriate US Embassy to have on hand at the time

of the interview.

T = An acceptable document has been received, but a translation is required as the

submitted document is not in English or the official language of the processing post. The

applicant must present a certified translation at the time of the interview.

U = The applicant has informed the NVC that the required document is unavailable.

X = The required document is unobtainable for this country per the Foreign Affairs

Manual.

Y = The required document has been received and accepted.

I = The required form is incomplete. Please ensure that a complete form is presented at

the interview.

S = Scanned document received. The original document must be presented at the time

of the interview.

$ = Payment received.

NVC has received and has not requested any other information, so i am assuming there is nothing else that she should bring to the interview?

I have heard others bringing their entire package with them, from CIS to NVC stage. Is this really necessary and can the consulate request anything even though technically they have it or NVC has it on records?

Here's what wife thinks (Wife is probably right ) :

She thinks i should send her the entire package of AOS, including the I-864 and the W2's etc, and is afraid they will refuse her visa if she does not bring it to the interview. Can this really happened ?

I just don't see how it's any of the consulate business when it has already been approved by NVC, and luckily we did not receive any RFE's at the CIS or NVC stage.

Unless there are instructions that i did not see that specifically states that the applicant must bring this documents or he/she maybe refused of a visa OR maybe it's just a rule of thumb

yes, you may be right. try contacting the NVC and see what they have to say.

that is a good question, as i am wondering the same question too. For the most part, i would follow what the appointment letter requires you to bring, and what the medical letter found here http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3739.html
