I called NVC this morning and they said they hadn't sent the file to the embassy yet, that it should go out maybe today or tomorrow, but possibly not until early next week. They said that I should allow "at least a week" for the file to arrive at the embassy.

NVC is just so frustrating. On the appointment letter it says that "your case has been forwarded to the Embassy in manila" but when you call them they tell you you have to wait. How difficult could it be to forward the documents to Manila Embassy.

Are the December interviewees done with their medical yet? I'm done with mine on Nov 17-18. It was fast and hassle-free. I got there at 12:10pm on first day and finished by 2:25 pm, 2nd day was longer though, because of immunization and releasing. I actually prepared myself for the clinic's bad service since I read a lot of bad reviews on VJ and other sites but as for my experience, it wasn't bad at all. The nurses and staff were nice and very helpful. I suggest to all who will have their medical soon to go there in the afternoon. Goodluck to us all.

Hi, i'm done with my medical too yesterday and thank God i passed it.

Good luck to all of us on our interviews...

great news! i want to share this to others who wants to re schedule their interview date

i asked my husband to email manila embassy last november 16, 2009 and got the reply today :

This is in reply to your inquiry of November 16, 2009, regarding the immigrant visa case of the referenced individual. We have referred your message to the responsible processing team for appropriate action.

We have not received the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)-approved petitions filed on behalf of the applicants. The case is presently with the State Department’s National Visa Center (NVC) which schedules immigrant visa cases for us. We expect to receive the case file shortly. The applicant has been rescheduled for a visa interview on December 1, 2009. At that time, a consular officer will determine if he is eligible for a visa.

so try to email embassy now! and hope for an earlier date...my original date was december 10 and now it moved to december 1!

thanks God

The applicant has been rescheduled for a visa interview on December 1, 2009. At that time, a consular officer will determine if he is eligible for a visa.

That's great! When I called, they told me to put the request in writing and fax it along with a copy of the interview letter to a fax number in Manila. They also told me that they couldn't reschedule the interview until they had the file. Our case is a little different since we're trying to move our interview back, so I may still wait until they get the file.

EDIT: By the way, to what email address did you send your request? Did you attach a copy of your NVC interview letter?

actually it was just a try...i asked my husband to try email the embassy thru their website:

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html#

and then go to bottom part of the page : CONTACT US and then click BY EMAIL

the format for emailing them will show up to you...you will fill out what they ask on the form

though they replied our inquiry friday and we sent it monday..so it's not really a fast reply..i thought that email wont work..

good luck to you
