Birth Certificate....translation

So once we start the AOS they request a Birth Certificate and it needs to be translated. How do we go about doing that? Do we personally do it or does it have to be done by a specfic person. His certificate is in Spainish. Any help would be much appreciated.

Unless the embassy/consulate didn't require translations at the time of your K-1 interview, you should already have this. Unless, of course, you didn't keep copies of the documents you submitted at that time, in which case you'll have to do it over again.

When you get married, the town hall will most likely require you get his birth certificate translated and they will give you a list of translators that are certified and work with them. I just used that same translation, asked the translator for 2 notarized copies. Saves $$...
