Hello. My wife's CR-1 was approved and we received her passport and brown envelope in the mail. However, a while later we noticed that one side of the envelope is slighly open, basically the inner flap didn't stick to the other side, failing to seal the left edge of the envelope, so there is an opening from the base of the envelope up to where the sealing tape is. The opening is smaller than the width of the documents inside. You can actually see the documents inside the envelope. It is otherwise sealed and we haven't even taken it out of the plastic sleeve it comes in. Anybody with a similar experience? Thanks in advance.

I would suggest taking it back to the comsulate and having it properly sealed.

Hi. I ended up just leaving the envelope as it was in the plastic sleeve (which I taped down) and just took care of it so that it wouldn't get any worse. At the POE (LAX) it was not an issue and it wasn't even mentioned at all, and everything went well. Thank you for your replies.
