My fiance needs help finding a good translator in Lahore, Pakistan. If anyone knows info on one please let me know. He has a few documents needing to be translated to English so we can get the forms requested for packet 3 sent off to the embassy. I'm anxiously waiting to get this off and looking forward to getting an interview date.

Thanks in advance!!

What docs he need to translate from Urdu to English? IF these are birth cert and Marriage cert?? ...then he just needs to find a typist. Typist will take care of these docs; he can find birth cert and marriage cert papers in English, just need to type them in English. That’s it...

He can find typist in Kachari/court area. Oh one more thing..once he got in English..just notrized all docs..

I'm unsure honestly if he will need some things but he was going to include them because without them he might get a "red flag". His mother's ID card (because her name being just Mohammad Alnisa-they might think something is wrong and questionable about that) & father's death certificate (in case they have any question about that); none of his records have mother & fathers date of birth on them and his mom doesn't really have any idea when she was born or her exact age. We are afraid the embassy will not understand this  (but anyone paki does!). And of course his birth certificate & ID card.

Thanks so much I will tell him about Kachari!! OMG I cant wait til we get this packet 3 stuff sent back.

Hi

Congratulations for your successful journey. In Lahore, it is easy to find a translator, ask him to go to Lahore court, any higher or lower, and he will find translators there. They will hardly charge him $2.00 per document for translation. Do not forget to tell him to get it attested by foreign office.

All the best

Thank you so very much!! :D Not sure what "attested by foreign office" means but maybe notarized I'm guessing. I will pass this on to him as it helps greatly.

Blessings to you!
