Hi,

it would be great if somebody here could answer my question:

My fiance (the USC) has been laid off in late October 2008 due to economical reasons and wasn't able to find a job again for about 8 (frustrating) months. Fortunately, he finally did find a job then and has been working now since June 2009 again. He is way above the required 125% poverty line income (as he was also at his last job before) but I don't know.. On the I-134, can we state his annual income based on his current monthly income even though he has been employed with his new company only for the last 5 months? Also, when we present his latest tax transcripts at the interview, could there be a problem as he hasn't been working for 8 months?

I'm just a bit worried about all this.. Also, we really would like to avoid having to have a co-sponsor, if possible.

Can somebody help us with this?

You are OK. His current income should be fine. You state his ANNUAL income even though he has only been there a couple months. He can get an employment letter and some recent check stubs to support this.

Good luck
