I was wondering if anyone who is applying in australia knows how long it takes for the information on fingerprints to come back. That is all my fiance and I are waiting on and then he can send in the paper to sydney to let them know he is ready for his interview. We first got a response from the Nebraska Service Center on October 11 that they recieved our paperwork, so we are almost at the end of the tunnel. If anyone can give us info that would be great even info on what happens next would be appreciated as well.

I don't understand... From what you wrote, I don't understand whether you've gotten NOA1 and NOA2 already. I'm guessing you did (would you please fill in your timeline or give us more details?). If you've gotten NOA1 and NOA2, the petition will be sent by NVC to the foreing consulate and embassy. In Brazil, the fingerprinting will be done on the day of the interview, but I'm not sure how it works in other consulates. I've never heard of USC having to do fingerprinting. Or are you asking about the fingerprinting done in Australia?

So... it'd help if you posted your question in the regional forum.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I'm not in Australia but I too am awaiting fingerprint results.

I have already had my visa interview and was advised it was approved pending this fingerprinting check with FBI.

The person that interviewed me was certain that it should be back in ONE week. It will be 3 weeks tommorrow and it's still not back.
