Hi all

We've hit a little snag filling in the i-134 affidavit of support forms

My fiances Mother is going to be my co-sponsor but is worried that her income alone might not meet the requirements

However, her husband and her file their taxes together, and we're wondering what she should put down as her annual income, as together their household income as a married couple is much higher than her inidividual income

Please could someone advise on the way forward

Is their something to with filing taxes together as a married couple and what you declare on the i-134 ?

Thanks so much to anyone who can help

The I-134 is a document for one person. Incomes are not combined in any case. Even though his mother may file a joint return with her husband, his income will not be aocunted and she will have to submit her w-2s or proof of her income.

She should declare on her I-134 HER income only. For the AOS phase, after you arrive, members of the same household can combine income but not for the I-134.
