Hi all, I'm an american girl trying to get my Scottish fiance over here to marry. I understand you have to file a K-1 petition? but my question is where do I download the forms and what office do I have to send them to? also the fee...thanks.

The best place to start is the Step-by-Step Guide on How to File for a K-1 Visa for your Foreign Fiance(e) .

You will find all the 'how to' type information - in detail. I printed it out the made it into a checklist - this helped keep things from seeming overwhelming at first.

Then - the K1 Process Flowchart is useful to get an overview of what happens and when it should happen (the above guide will fill in the details).

There is a Download Section where the forms are available (most all are linked directly with the USCIS's download sections so they are always the current versions).

And lastly there is the Example Forms Section which is very helpful.

The best place to start is the guides section. Has everything you need to know.

The forms can be downloaded from there but if you like you can go to the USCIS website. Just google it.

As far as the fee and where to send it goes all that info is found on the form instructions. There are 2 places to file your petition and it depends on where you live in the US. There is a Vermont service centre and California service centre. Again it depends on the state you live in and can be found in the instructions for the form.

The filing fee for a Form I-129F is $455.00.

California Service Center Filings

File Form I-129F with the California Service Center if you live in:

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

Mail your Form I-129F package to:

USCIS California Service Center P.O. Box 10130 Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0130

Vermont Service Center Filings

File form I-129F with the Vermont Service Center if you live in:

Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Mail your Form I-129F package to:

USCIS Vermont Service Center Attn: I-129F 75 Lower Welden Street St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

All this info was found in the guides.

Good Luck with it all.
