If the Blue Dogs stand in the way of passing key legislation by opposing their own caucus, particularly a key legislation which Obama and the Democratic Party platform campaigned on and won last November, then yes, I won't tolerate such behavior. That is how both parties work on getting key legislation passed and why a particular Congressman runs on a specific party platform.

So you don't tolerate individuality on key issues, just as I don't tolerate "moderates" on key issues like the Republicans do and the Dems don't. I.e. Joe Lieberman thrown under the bus. Repubs have far too many "centrists" which is why they are in the sorry state they are in.

This is the perception the sensible body of the party is looking to change for if they don't, the GOP will be all but irrelevant. The reason the repubs lost is because they ran a "maverick" who never really took a stand on any of the core issues until a few days before the election. As much as the dems want to convince everyone that it was Sarah Palin who caused people to stay home, it was McCain, not Palin who sealed his fate.

The republican party has been too liberal for far too long. That is why they lost in 2006 and why they lost in 2008.

If the Republicans had won the White House and a gained control of Congress last November with specific campaign promises, and a group of Republicans in Congress were standing in the way of fulfilling that campaign promise, I wouldn't blame you if you threw them under your short bus under those circumstances.

Here in California, the Far Right Republicans went after the handful of Republicans who voted with our Republican Governor and the Democratic majority in the Legislature - I believe a Recall effort is under way against those bad Republicans for ending the budget deadlock. The Far Right's ideology is not one of tolerance, Joseph. In fact, they're quite Facist when it comes to having a position....there's only one and it's there's alone.

Show me an example of Democrats starting recall efforts against fellow Democrats for not towing the line. Sorry, Joseph, but the Far Right by design is intolerant and rigid. Liberalism by design is open to change and ideas. That's the difference. There may be hardliner Lefties who are intolerant bastards, but most often, those guys are so Left, they bumping into Right.
