Ask ur fiancee if she is late registered..she knows what is it..and if she is, well expect more hard time to get her a passport. She have to show/obtain supporting docs as what i did.

I asked her, and she IS late registered! :( She is now applying for her SSS-ID, so after she gets that, she will have:

  • Baptismal Certificate
  • SSS-ID
  • NBI Clearance
  • CENOMAR
  • Cedula
  • Barangay Clearance
  • Postal ID

I hope this will be enough!

Oh well, she also need's school records. Ask her if she have one..if none, then she will need to get it wherever school she enrolled. If she is college grad she will have Transcript of Records. If high school, then she will get the form 134 in that school.

Oh sorry i mean form 137 in the said school.

NBI and Police Clearance is acceptable at DFA. When I get a new passport that is the proof of identification i bring to the DFA.

USE A FIXER OR AN AGENCY AS WE CALLED IT.....SHE DONT HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THE HASSLES. IT COST PESO 1500. IT TAKES 15-20 WORKING DAYS.

As I understand it these "Fixers" usually avail of shortcuts that are less than legal and you may end up with documents/results that might pass a casual inspection but not a more serious review.

This could range from them forging some sort of ID to get her a valid PH Passport all the way to them providing her with a forgery of a passport.

Granted the latter is worse as a fake passport being presented to the consular is surely immigration fraud and is a country where many fake documents are easily available I'm sure they would notice a fake.

Even the former is dangerous as she might "accidentally" present the forged ID to the consular.

If you can do it legitimately then it's worth the extra time & effort.

hello.....

i was one experiencing the same thing like your girl ....the reason of my 1st denial was because i dont have VALID ID to present,,, yes you are right that POSTAL id is not valid anymore coz it might can be fake............what i did was i got to renew my school id....then i went to BIR to get TIN id and have postal ID also...

i also get police certificate, NBI, baptismal certificate .. all were original and they never gave it back to me.its served as my file in DFA...

school ID and baptismal certificate are best proof for me,,...bY the way in what DFA office she went through? If she is from SAMAR maybe she went to TACLOBAN DFA......be aware that there are some agent in TACLOBA DFA that they are very strict and seem they are psychologist... like they knw what you said to them....Just be honest and tell the truth about your PERSONAL profile,.......

GOD BLESS

My agency list all the documents that i am going to submit for getting the Philippines passport in Cebu..so much better if there is an agency that can help to guide her. Specially at this time the DFA is very strict ..

My fiancee was able to get a new copy of her school ID, but we're worried because it isn't an "old ID". Do you think the DFA will give her a hard time because she is late registered and doesn't have her old school ID?

Postal IDs are no longer accepted.

My fiancee has NBI clearance, baptismal certificate, and a new copy of her school ID. I hope this is enough! She is at the DFA right now!

No, she went to the DFA in Manila because she is now staying with her aunt in Caloocan City. Thank you so much for your help and advice!

I don't understand why it is so hard to get a passport! If the DFA doesn't accept her school ID, she is going to have a hard time getting another form of ID! :(

any reason given why her NBI was not accepted? so strange.

which DFA is she applying at? manila? if she's still refused, try applying in Cebu or Tacloban (Leyte), nearer to Samar, hopefully more reasonable towards applicants.

To the best of my knowledge, her NBI clearance wasn't accepted as a form of ID, but could have been used as a supporting document. Here is a summary of what she presented:

Postal ID = not accepted as ID

NBI clearance = supporting document

Baptismal certificate = supporting document

I guess the NBI clearance and baptismal clearance are considered to be the same category. I was advised that she need to get an ID. She lost her school ID, but was able to get a new copy. However, when she went back with the new school ID, they rejected that as well. This is what she presented the 2nd time:

New copy of school ID = not accepted

NBI clearance

Baptismal certificate

hi there..

when i applied for a passport i did have my nbi clearance but was not accepted too.

And postal IDs are not being acceptep by some agencies and companies anymore.

went to my previous school and asked them for a year book.

but if she does not have that she could probably go to the school and ask them of any documents that could prove that she studied there. coz DFA wants older ID's. the OLDER the better.

happier than ever

Get nbi digital id in carriedo. It is good and valid as govt id

I thought this might be an "easy" form of ID to get, which it is, but the DFA told me on the phone that an NBI clearance renewal ID card is NOT accepted for a passport application!

:crying:

Thank God my fiancee was able to get a TIN ID!
