old Green passport

hello everyone who has knowledged about the old green passport!!!!

my question is, it is true that we cannot use the old green passport now even it's not expired yet???

i am hoping somebody will answer my query since we are planning to go back in PH next yr... my old green passport will expire 2012.

It is good and can continue to be used until it expires.

It is good and can continue to be used until it expires.

That's what we were told too. It was a nightmare getting Claudeth's new passport in her married name though. Ugh! Lots of game playing on the part of the staff at the Filipino consulate in L.A. but after about 4 hours we finally got it taken care of. Next stop, citizenship if she ever gets motivated

The old green passports are no longer being issued ... but if you have one ... it will continue to be valid ... until its expiration date ...

Many travel agents in the Philippines are spreading rumors that the green passports are no longer valid ... as they are also in the business of renewing passports for a fee ... they want you to pay them to renew your passport ...

Dont worry ... your green passport is good until its expiration date ...

if that's the case, my brother has still the green passport expiring 2011. so that means if he has interview for immigrant visa in US embassy here in manila next year, will they still accept his green passport as requirement? thanks

Everybody is right that green passport is still good until it expires... But remember that a passport is at least six months valid before it's expiration date...

My suggestion, if you are still waiting for your approval, I rather renew it and get the new maroon passport in that case you will have no hassle when you are already here in USA in renewing most especially when you are far from the philippines consulate office.

Mine is still green. Expiry is next year but i am still using it.

Same here My Green passport expires by September 2010.

... Still not amended tho.
