Hello everyone, I need your input on this

My fiance is from Lebanon, I have applied for him in Nov 2008, we got approved for K1 visa from immigration on March 2009 his file was sent to the conulate in lebanon in April 2009. They called him to prepare all the documents and the doctor visit, he finished everything by May 2009. His interview was June 17 2009. They told him he is approved but need more administrative processing. Its been since June 17 2009 and we are waiting and it is October now, they asked him in August to give a history of places he travelled to which he did. Everytime we email them they said to wait, and I dont know what is happening? we emailed them 3 weeks ago they said we will contact you shortly, but its 3 weeks what does shortly mean? :( why did they tell him he is approved if they need to do Administrative processing? how does this work? does anyone know what is the average of wait time? my heart is in pain and I cant find anymore patience . Please help I need your suggestions.

Thanks

There is (unfortunately) no 'average waiting time' for AP - it's all Embassy/Consulate and individual specific.

You could contact one of your Senator's offices - to see if they could make an inquiry on your behalf - they usually have staff members who do this and are familiar with the process.

I say keep emailing every other day! That's crazy. Does your fiance have any connections?? Try that route too. But keep emailing ...and explaining and asking questions. See if he can contact them directly too.

Yes I email them every other week, I am just afraid they might get mad and reject us, so thats why I am trying not to bother them too much. Doesnt administrative processing means it is sent to Washington? or is it done at the embassy? if it is Washington should I contact Dept of State?
