Foreign doctors have a reputation of not treating women very well. That's my reason for never having a foreign doctor. I can't get the original article from this Toronto newspaper because it's archived but I have copied and pasted it from another site.

You do realize foreign trained physicians (of any specialty) take the same BOARD exams (administered by Royal College of Physicians of Canada or the ECFMG in the States) that North American graduates take. So I don't think there is any question of how much knowledge they have, I'm a Foreign Medical Graduate (Caribbean) that took the US Medical Licensing Exam (Board exam for the US) and believe that I am as well trained as our North American counter parts (after they have been board certified). As for this specific case, its is VERY VERY difficult to get a license to practice medicine in Canada if you are an FMG, this doctor's personal belief shouldn't be set as an example because it is very rare to find such a thing.

As for the guy who's holds prejudice against Muslims/Arabs, your entitled to your opinion but consider what I just wrote above!

so omar used general anesthesia when he is not liscensed to do so and now somebody is dead.

any surgery is life threatening if it involves general anesthesia.
