Medical in India for K3 (Is Chennai the only place)?

Hello friends,

In South India (Chennai Consulate, but living in Hyderabad ), is Chennai the only place we can do Medical for K3 and Cr1( we applied for both and not sure which one will get approved first. We plan to pursue whatever we get approved first). There is American consulate in Hyderabad but they do only Non-family cases and Chennai is the only place we can do the Family cases for final Visa.

I am not sure if they will let us do the medical in Hyderabad but it would really suck for my wife to go all the way to Chennai because we have an infant daughter. Anybody who had done Medical please let us know.

I was reading on the Hyderabad Consulate website... your s/o can get medical done in hyderabad at the vijaya diagnostic center in himayatnagar

I too saw the news recently. That is very good news for us. I see you are still waiting for your NOA2. I hope you get it soon. I can only understand how stressful it is since I constantly go to uscis site everyday to check the status and wait for the email/text message from those guys. I am debating if I should try for a tourist Visa for my wife so we can be here for Christmas and leave my child with grandparents in INdia and then my wife can go back after visiting me to finish her process in India after visiting me. Again i know it may or maynot work but atleast I want to give it a try because it really sux to be alone for Christmas.

Yes, still waiting. It sucks and is very stressful.. USCIS website is one of my favorites in my browser... I'm like going crazy, but what the heck can i do... I was advised not to go for the tourist visa for her because it will be very hard to get, and chances for getting denied at poe are very high...

Yes, medical in Hyderabad will be a good thing for us too... i hope vfs in hyderabad can take her documents too.. this way she wont have to go to chennai to turn documents in and again for the interview...

Yea, I really hope that we get our noa2 soon... please pray for us.
