My husband was also asked questions at Montreal as well. They asked him about his job (obviously if he signed an agreement stating he'd financially support me) and how often he has visited me, and even when we got married. While not required to attend the interview, if the spouse attends they are fair game for questions.

And because we applied for a spousal visa, their answers ARE important to your immigration

Good luck.

My husband was present with me in the interview room. While they did not ask him to take the oath they did ask him questions regarding his employment and experiences crossing the border. So while the petitioner may not be "formally " interviewed that does not mean they will not be asked questions.

Best of luck!

Thanks for confirming that FutureAwaits. Good Luck to your interview, let us know how it went.

Hi maisflocon, we received the same email from NVC with the list of documents already submitted and on page 2 of the mail there was the list of what to bring, basically the meds report and the pictures. I did hand in all the originals so at the interview i will only have copies (I got 2 RFEs for my originals) so clearly they have them now. I am going into the interview with proof of bonafide relationship, meds report and pics, I called the embassy here to confirm they dont expect anything else and they said what i have is fine, i know embassies are different. I think we'll be fine, relax and good luck.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks canadian_wife.
