How to re-schedule interview

Hi

Please I need help to re-schedule my interview ...I sent an email to the Embassy more than a week ago as soon as I got the date...but I didn`t get any confirmation yet that they got my email...

When I sent back my packet 3... I mentionned to them that my medical appointment was on October 16th and if they can schedule my interview date after that because I am out of the country...but it seems they didn`t notice it...

I didn`t get packet 4 yet... so I emailed them 2 weeks ago to know if I had an interview date and they sent me the letter by email and it`s on September 29th...so I sent back right quick an email ...

How I can know they got my email if they don`t answer the phone??? and if they are going to re-schedule my interview ???

Should I call DOS??? if yes, what is the phone number???

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks a million

When emailing them ensur eu have ur case # on the subject line! And I would be emailing them often, like daily, till I got an answer! And be very polite. In subject line put ur case #, and say URGENT, request of interview date!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

If you didn't even get an automated reply, you might want to try sending from another email account. Your email may have been (inexplicably) flagged as spam. (This happens occasionally - nothing to worry about, though I know THIS is something to worry about!)

Send emails daily with case no. in the subject. If you're using Outlook, send it as a high priority email with read receipt requested. Most email systems will flag the email as high priority at their end and prompt the reader to send back a read receipt.

And yes, be very polite, even if you don't feel like it.

ur other option is do the interview at the scheduled time,THEN the medical! They wont issue you the visa unitl u have completed the medical, but you can just send that in, along with your passport

Hi

I can`t attend the interview I`m in the Caribbean in charge of the company ...my boss (CEO) is in England and I'm the one taking care of his villa too!!!

I`m training my replacement now...

I have mentionned on my cover letter with my packet 3 that if it was possible to have my interview at the end of October or after!

I have never called DOS or the Embassy ...I just emailed them twice for questions about documents...My packet 3 has been lost in the mail and I was scared that it happens the same thing to the packet 4...obviously it happened because nothing received yet at my address in Canada...

So I emailed them to know if they have sent the Packet 4 and they sent me the document by email but since then even I emailed them to re-schedule I didn`t get any answer even the automatic one that we always receive when we send them an email...so now I`m in panic mode...

Thanks for your help!

I doubt there is anyone at the embassy working today, and any e-mails you send during the weekend run the risk of being lost in their inbox. I e-mailed on a Saturday once and didn't get a response for almost a week, but whatever I would e-mail during normal business hours Monday to Friday, the responses were quite prompt. I would get online at 8am tomorrow morning and send out an e-mail. If you don't get a response by noon, send another, and just keep bothering them until you catch someones attention. Unfortunately Montreal doesn't take phone calls, so e-mail is really your only option. I hope everything works out for you! Interesting how you were given an interview date so quickly... maybe they were trying to make up for the missing packet 3 issues?

Thanks

Maybe it`s because of the packet 3 issues but I mentionned to them that I need a date after October 16th probably this information has been lost during the process...

I would love to be there but it`s totally impossible...

I sent the previous email during the working hours so I don`t know why I didn`t get any answer since almost 2 weeks now!

Thanks again for your help
