Hubby was born in Mobile, Ala., grew up moving around the US (AZ, MS, CO, LA, among others) but considers his home to be in Thibodaux, LA. Currently living in OH. He is a nurse (I am a doc), loves his pasta (like I do), knows how to cook (does the cooking on his off-days), loves his LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. Very sweet and thoughtful, puts me and our daughter ahead of everything else. Wonderful father-figure to my 6-year-old, they are best buds. Considers himself a Southern boy, grew up in a family-oriented family (as I did, hence our same family values), keeping in touch with his mother and grandfather often. Would love to be able to fish/hunt again someday  Served as a medic in the Army and is a veteran of Desert Storm, honorably discharged after 4 years. That short stint influenced him a lot and helped build his character. Isn't exactly an optimist, always thinks of worst-case scenario, but isn't a pessimist either. A realist, maybe. Current pet peeve is the next-door neighbor who seems to insist on a private parking spot on a public parking area in front of the house, not minding my huge pregnant belly

Thought I'd add that my wife, Merlaine, is new to the forums here. I set her up with an account this morning and her screen name is Merlaine-n-Kevin. I'm sure she'll have questions for everyone in the future :) And yes, I showed her how to use the search button..LOL Whether she will or not is a different question ;)

I'm very much in favor of having partners' photos..I used to have mine shown but it occupied a lot of space on signature line. And by the way, I was very specific about this thread, I think the topic's title says it all..just give basic infos or just say anything about spouses/fiances and without 'hijacking'. It would be fun if you start a thread titled "SPOUSE/FIANCEES' PHOTOS, SHOW/POST IT HERE" People would have an idea what that thread is about just by reading the title. But, if you read the first reply on this thread, basic infos seemed to be a big deal for her (and I know there are a lot more against it)...what more of showing pictures? But I will show mine on your thread for sure. Meanwhile, you can tell us about your guy here. ;)

i've heard that its not safe to put your basic infos in the internet..like the full name, address and much more which can be used by other people for such crime. I have been very careful about it too since i am fun of uploading, posting, joining some sites and whatsoever.

But so far, i havent heard/read about the internet pics from other person that was used from the people who have bad intentions..

regardless to this one which is now a very famous celebrity in Ph,,

i dont meant to hijack the thread..i just thought its fun to include pics in this thread to add more taste for the readers..

anyway, its just a suggestion..its up to anyone here if they are going to junk it....no big deal :pop::rolleyes:

My husband used to be my brother in law. After we lost my sister to complications of breast cancer about 2 years ago, he came to Davao to look for a little solace and he found one in me. I was widowed myself and a mutual affection for each other developed.

He is also of Filipino ancestry, a G.I. (Genuine Ilocano), and has been in the USA since 1973. He has lived in various towns in the USA such as San Jose, Calif., San Diego, Tallahassee, Fla., Euless, Tex., Union City, Calif., and now in Corona, Calif. He works in tax compliance with a governmental agency and he loves chasing birdies ang casting for rainbows (golf and trout fishing).

Chasing birdies? Does that include blond birdies? I am also Genuine Ilocano having born and raised in the northern part of the Philippines (Isabela). My husband is from San Fernando Valley in the Golden State. I call him Guillermo, but he doesn't like his Spanish name. I also callhim Bugoy, but he dislikes that monicker. You can call him Mister Bill. He prefers being called by that name in VJ.

I don't care much for blondes. My preference goes to brunettes with ruby-red lips, sunny bright eyes, and hair as dark as midnight. :star:

Did you kick out Mister Bill? How come he is now solo with just Tonto?

My wife is short, and has a nice tan.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

My turn to share.....

My husband is a millivolts engineer ('coz he called me kilovolts engineer... Hehehe). We're almost in same field of profession. He is gonna turn 29 this coming October. Me and husband share same interest. We love to watch anime, cooking, baking, and we both don't like watching sports (we rather watch documentary).

Is he Female?

My name is Neth and my husband is Bob. We are married for 17 months and still like newlyweds. I was divorced and he is also divorced for 32 years before he met me. We are not that young anymore, I am 47 and he is 55. 8 years difference (not an issue). He has no kids and I have two by my previous marriage. He came from a very small family consisting of his mom and dad and a sister whom I didn't meet yet (she is in Washington State).

Bob is a very organized man (sometimes he gets frustrated if he's looking for some papers and I can't find it asap), I am also a bit organized but not as him. I am the youngest among 9 children (no family planning in the Philippines that time). He is the older one and I guess the chemistry is perfect for a youngest and oldest as what other people say. He has an incredible patience. He doesn't have any experience dealing with kids and he was nervous before he met my son last April, now they are the best of friends. I have another son a 14 year old who is still in the Philippines who was held up at St. Luke's because of medical issues. I will be picking him up next month and that will be another adjustment for Bob.

Bob plays trombone and he is a member of a three set of bands here in Rhode Island. He plays pool with my son and he is also a member of a pool league in the area. He is a computer geek. One thing that sometimes annoys me is that if he is doing a big job in the computer he doesn't want to be disturbed. But I understand. He is a bit conservative, a good provider and a very detailed person.

Just like any other man, he easily gets tired shopping with me. He always wants to have a list of something to buy and gets annoyed if I do shopping randomly (I told him it's a woman's thing). He is a very considerate guy. He is God's gift to me and I will cherish and keep our relationship forever. My two kids love him so much and people can't believe how he handles his new life very well. From a single man for almost 32 years to having an instant family is an enormous task as people say but he handles it perfectly.

One thing that he's not doing before is go to church every Sunday, now that he is married to me we attend the 8:30 mass every Sunday. Of course there is no perfect relationship but we can always aim even half of it (just my opinion).
