hey y'all guys , got question with regards to AOS, just mailed my application today with check at Chicago Lockbox , what comes next ? well ,I know another long wait ? where do I check the status? is there a way I can online?

NOA is your next item. So in 1-4 weeks you should have that. Then biometrics appt which you will get a letter as to the location, date and time.

You can check status on the USCIS with the case number assigned to yoru I-485

Yeh, you will get a NOA for your I-485, then a biometrics appointment letter. If you filed for EAD or Advance Parole you will get letters for each of those, followed by EAD card and Advance Parole document. Then you will get an appointment letter for the interview, followed by approval sfter the interview and a letter of that and stating your resident card will be on hte way in a couple weeks. then you get the card. Then a 2 year wait. As previous poster said, you can check status of the 485 on the USCIS.gov web site.

By the time we got home from our AOS interview, incidentally, we already had the letter from USCIS telling us we were approved.
