I was told to wait for the letter first before going to do the medicals because I think they send the results to them directly don't they?

Please do I have the correct email for Eleke LagosIV@state.gov

@ JOLEX who gave you that info that you need to wait for the interview date before medicals? .....i don;t really know the procedures and that is why i,m asking those that have been there......let me know please because i don;t want to send my fiancee all the way from East to Lagos and she get there, no medicals is done .

Does the Lagos Embassy ever reply to emails?....or just waste of time.

I have called DOS and i was told no interview date yet...though the file is in the system.

SOMETIMES they will reply you when they feel they have an answer, or they just give you a standard email that does not truly answer your questions. Good luck to you with that....

I heard on VJ that it is better to get a letter then flow the go and do your medicals even the VJ flowchart said

"*Some embassies require the medical the same day as the interview. Most require the interview to be done ahead of time and have the results sent to the embassy directly from the doctor.

*This may occur after an interview date is given."

Can someone clarify please

From what I understand is the you can't make a medical appointment until you are in the system for an interview. You don't need a letter but you have to be in the system. Call DOS ( NOT NVC) and explain that Lagos is apparently having email issues and hasn't responded to you and could they check in the database if the petition has been record at Lagos.

Their number is 202 663 1225 . They only have live operators M-F .

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

You don't need the interview letter to have your medicals done, download the forms and take them to Kamorass Hospital, they will take your bloodwork, vaccinations and then give you an appointment for the results and physical exams which might be two weeks later. So i will suggest go for the medicals but try emailing the embassy to see if they have set your interview date. Hope this helps.

Thanks for info..Then i think i will go ahead and let my woman know about this..so that she can go for the medical soon. But does the medicals expire?

The medicals expire 1 year after it was done so you are good for 1 year.

Got an interview date o, Praise the Lord, Nov. 19..... I actually got frustrated this morning and I called Eleke at 7am my time and the guy said he cannot provide me his name but to give him our case# and he promise to email me, so I checked my email and there it is. Praise the Lord

If you have been waiting for at least 2 weeks, I think you can actually call Lagos directly. All the best!
