Hi,

I arrived two weeks ago in USA with a k1.

My POE was Chicago. I had to give a sealed enveloppe with official papers to the immigration officer , like the medical examination and vaccination records performed by a US embassy doctor.

The immigration officer told me to go to an immigration office in Kansas City, where Im located, after I got married. That's where he would send this enveloppe.

After I got married, I went to this immigration office in KC...and they did not give me the envelope. They just told me to send the usual AOS package to Chicago.

Do I need to see a civil surgeon ?

Do I need to get back my sealed envelope ? How ?

Can I send my AOS package to Chicago without medical documents, and tell them they have it ?

Should I go to a civil surgeon, and ask him to fill the vaccination part ? Will he do it with my french vaccinations book records ?

Other question, I think the "Copy of NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F" was also in the sealed envelope...anyway I dont have it with me. How the I-824 works ? Do I really need it ?

Thank you a lot !

Bertrand.

I just read that :

It contained all the original I-129F documents, the K-1 forms which I completed for the consulate, our photos, birth and divorce certificates, my medical report, and the affidavit of support.

I dont have any copies of these documents. And this has been given to the immigration officer at the POE.

Should I assume that the USCIS have these documents, and dont send it in the AOS package ?

OR should I start freak out....

thanks for your help!

Do I need to see a civil surgeon ? Yes...the CS is the one to fill out and sign the I-693 that you need for AOS.

Do I need to get back my sealed envelope ? How ? No...no one gets back the sealed envelope. Don't worry about it.

Can I send my AOS package to Chicago without medical documents, and tell them they have it ? They will have all that when you submit the AOS. Unless the medical is outdated you're fine. Otherwise, in some cases, if it medical is outdated by the time they get to it, you might have to repeat it.

Should I go to a civil surgeon, and ask him to fill the vaccination part ? Will he do it with my french vaccinations book records ? See the answer to your first question. Yes you need to see the CS. As for the French vacc book records, I can't answer that one.

Other question, I think the "Copy of NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F" was also in the sealed envelope...anyway I dont have it with me. How the I-824 works ? Do I really need it ? The NOA2 should have been sent in the mail to your fiancee and I don't think it will be in the sealed envelope. You do need a copy of the NOA2 for the AOS package.

Thank you a lot !

Bertrand.
