How long does it usually take to receive the interview email?

Also, is their anyway to expedite the interview date once it's at the embassy? And the interview is already scheduled?

USCIS: CSC

2008-09-20 : I-130 Sent

2008-09-25 : NOA1

2008-09-27 : Touched

2009-02-03 : Touched

2009-02-06 : RFE Sent :(

2009-02-09 : RFE Hard copy received

2009-02-10 : Sent evidence; Certified Priority mail

2009-02-12 : USCIS Received RFE response; Case resumed

2009-02-13 : I-130 Approved

2009-02-20 : NOA2 Hardcopy received

It all depends on the embassy availability. If the embassy is filled up for the month your trying to get an interview at, you have to wait til the next month. NVC has no say in the date for the interview as far as I know, but the embassy decides. My case was complete a week before yours and I haven't gotten an interview date yet, but they do schedule interviews on the second week of the month so if we are going to get an October interview, we should find out next week hopefully...good luck!

Another question...Can you call the embassy now and request an expedite or do you have to wait until you receive the email?

same for me my husband's and my case was complete aug 17, 2009 and we are waiting for an interview date hopefully next week we will know.... one of the members on this site was able to get an intreview 1 month before the scheduled date because there were openings i am going to try to do the same this is the link to what I am talking about.....

^ That's what I'm going to try to do now. I received the Appointment email yesterday and his interview is scheduled for Oct 27th :( I need to have it scheduled this month at least...any tips? Or do I just call and ask if there are openings for this month? I'm not sure how to go about it.
