Hey guys,

So we filed for AOS awhile back and we just got our I-797 (I think that's the form, I'm sorry I don't have it with me because it's at my parent's house) but anyways, it just said that my wife has to go in to the nearest office and get her biometrics done. Does this mean that everything is good so far with our papers?

Also, how long till the work permit follows and everything else?

Thanks guys!

What you got is usually referred to as a Biometrics appointment Notice. It`s one of the steps in the AOS process. Everything`s good so far, but you can get an RFE any time before the interview if the USCIS needs some additional info from you. If everything`s fine, then you`ll get your EAD next. Took us a month after the biometrics (with an RFE).

07/25/2009 --- GC received! Total: 3 months 12 days from NOA1 to GC mailboxhappy.gif

05/17/2011 --- ROC package sent

05/25/2011 --- NOA1 received
