Filipino Friends in the USA

Hi All,

We are new to the visajourney forum, but would like to meet new friends and join the discussion. My wife is from Cebu and will be here (hopefully) in the next few months. We will be residing in Beltsville Maryland and I was looking for a filipino association that we could join and that would provide Gladys some connection and new friends. However, most of the association web sites I find are broken links or have not been updated for months or even years. So does anyone know of an active Filipino-American association or other social networking opportunities? Thanks.

Hi Mark and Gladys,

I am also from cebu and I just got here in the US this June. I have so many good Filipino friends already and I am very thankful for them because it made me feel more at home. Just like you, before I came here my husband searched for organizations or groups of filipino-american to which i can join later on but to no avail. But what he did was, he look for filipino stores online, we went there and that was where I found my first filipino friend after that we attended a Filipino-American Feast here in Cleveland which he also found online. I am sure a lot of filipinos are there in Maryland. Search for activities and Filipino stores online.
