Wow! That IS a long time! Just hang in there, sometimes, they do have additional checks. That's where your $455 goes to. Whew! Sorry, my friend. Let's hope it won't take long now.

To the best of my knowledge I do think that the procedure for K1 is a bit different from K3 and CR1/IR1 case. The K3 and CR1/IR1 goes directly to NVC for the next stage; however, K1 is usually sent to the Embassy with jurisdictions over your case file. Try contacting that embassy.

Disregard the generic "Wait to 2-4 weeks" answer that they always give and call them every freakn day. That's entirely too long! Good luck.

IT'S NOT THE DESTINATION ITS THE JOURNEY...AND WHAT A JOURNEY IT HAS BEEN

What I did was call the USCIS and request the approved petition be sent again. But, at that time the out of processing limit was only 30 days and then it became 60 shortly thereafter. Waiting and not knowing is hard. Maybe you can call the USCIS after 60 days. If nothing else it will keep you busy for awhile.

I also contacted our Senator in Marion, IL because we were past the 30 days. I suggest calling every couple days as MikeenKyhen suggested.

That is very long. When they send you the NOA2 letter, that means USCIS sent the package to NVC. Im worried that NVC havent even received it yet. Could it have been lost in the mail? I mean if they havent received it, what exactly are u waiting for? USCIS already sent it, NVC havent received it then no one is really processing it right now. I doubt mail from Vermont to New Hampshire takes 51 days to travel. Contact someone from USCIS and let them know of the situation. Hopefully someone would be able to help. Good luck.

I also think you should be persistent and keep calling NVC everyday. My situation was a tad different, I was stuck in AP for 25 days. I kept a phone log, names, times and dates. Sometimes I would get the same person every couple days and I would say, "I called on xyz day and I believe I spoke to you at xyz time and you said xyz" I don't know if it helps but they had to keep opening my case. At the very least I pushed them to do their job (so I think, lol)
