Doesn't seem fair with our uniforms and military vehicles, we have to be dressed as well identified targets fighting a people where you can't even tell the good guys from the bad. And the consequences of mistakenly shooting a good guy.

SIR!! That guy wearing a sheet just blew my head off, is it okay for me to fire back? When is our congress going to declare was against a country, while it was okay for George Washington to be commander in chief, history gives the rest of the story. But it's not a war, it's a police action, so why aren't we sending police instead. Can think of a couple cops that do nothing but issue traffic violations I would like to see sent over. And if it is a police action, why did Bush keep referring it as to a war? Would think somebody in our corrupted media would have caught that constant error in words.

Last declared war by congress was WW II, the rest has been a very disastrous history. Think somebody should have been awakened by now. Can only wonder how many of our politicians have their fingers in that Afghanistan drug money.

Yep - I don't think any of the wars this country have fought since WW2 have been "legitimate", certainly not necessary by any stretch of the imagination that doesn't involved entrenched economic or strategic self-interest.

In this case it was the arrogance of the Bush Administration starting wars they couldn't finish - and in so doing putting the country in a very bad position with extremely limited options.

Obama isn't going to summarily withdraw troops from Iraq or Afghanistan because his administration will take the flak if those countries go belly up as a direct result of his actions.

We can feel safe because my neighbors' 30 year old wife, my daughter-in-laws' cousin, and two of my step-daughters' friends are all in Iraq defending us. All of them joined the NG for supposed college benefits. But they are highly skilled getting a seven week long MP training in Texas before being shipped over. Not one of these little girls, I know all of them are capable of even opening a lid off a jar of pickles.

Can you even believe this country? I talked our daughter out of it, we are paying her college tuition of only which a small portion of it is tax deductible. My two brothers and I were put in a very awkward situation under the draft, we didn't run off to Canada, where those smarter guys were granted immunity, so we have an idea of what is going on. And for what? The kids are paying the price, leaders get off free, and guys like Ross become multi-millionaires, left a very bad taste in our mouths.

Then we have a screwed up CIA and FBI, getting a kick out of watching NCIS with inter-agency relationships. But the real NICIS does not have a guy like Gibbs. So what do they do, create yet another agency that really had a major effect on screwing up the INS making it the USCIS, putting a Cuban refugee in charge.

Just born at the wrong time I guess.

Ha, I was 24 years of age before I could actually make my first decision for my wife, and really screwed that up by marrying the wrong woman. Came to the realization, I was incapable of making intelligent decisions and really had to work on that.

i have had a question that has been on my mind since 9-11

i was living in Pakistan when that happened i never once thought that Afghanistan would be an issue. I, in my innocence thought ok they only want ben what ever (sorry wont give him the respect by saying his name) so we have highly trained persons that can go in and extract him with out having to involve so many countries in a war that will be almost impossible to win.

at that time so many countries were with us so i doubt that even Pakistan would have given us any flack over sending teams in to extract him, is it that i was wrong that we dont have teams that are trained just of situations like that?

Or was bushy just wanting a war. this is a serious question that im sure someone can answer for me

Still highly suspicious that the Bush's are very good friends with the "ben what ever" family, and while this ben is the wayward son, blood still runs thicker than water. And that idiom applies strictly to relatives over friends. Another idiom is that actions speak louder than words, words are BS, it's those actions that are most disturbing.

Admit that may of the conspiracy theories are far fetched, economics played a far more important role in the construction of the WTC's than safety But 9/11 occurred in 2001, this is 2009 and ben is still running around free. Just said it was highly specious and chose that word carefully. But I share Bush's disappointment that Iraq did not have WMD. But also share the popular view, that our presence there is creating even more terrorists. I would be teed off too if a foreign government came here and knocked out our internet, phone lines, and killed my air conditioner. Especially my air conditioner.

Why do they need to be "liberal" conspiracy theories?
