well I emailed again to the congressman's aid to check on the status. She call and said it is sitting on the desk. max time will be 1 more months.

I just got the email that the I-130 was approved, but they did not change the status of the I-129F yet.

Thanks Congressman Paul E. Kanjorsk staff.

Best of luck with the political types.

I was beneficiary in a will and if you call the attorneys about WHEN

distribution takes place they just go around in circles. Then after

they've done all their so-called "work" and extracted their 10KG

of flesh, it goes to the NY Attorney General's office. You ask the

lawyers if you can check on the progress of the "examination"

and they tell you no no no, it will only slow things down...

Thanks Congrats.

But now I can not sleep. I called and woke Nan up to tell her the good news. I started to count how many month left till she gets here.

Oh ###### now I have to get the house ready for her and chase. She want the sprayers on the toilets. and need some furniture for her and chase.

It look like they touched both I-130 and I-129F but only approved the I-130. So I guess I have to make sure I have all the paper work ready.

I just happy I will get the NOA2 next week and I can take over with me to Thailand so Nan can do her Police check when we are in BKK.

Don't think she can do the medical check having only the NOA2 ? Maybe I have her call the hospital and check it would save her a trip to BKK.

Yep, been there, done that! We actually opted for the dual shower head (one fixed shower head that has a valve to select the sprayer hose/head). Much better than having one on the toilet since in the winter here the water at the toilet would be damn cold! Brrrrrr!

Oh just got her I-129F approved email. Now have to decide what to do ....

Save yourself a bunch of headaches and some $ and go with the immigrant visa. Just my two cents.

-Thai Mom

Well right now just working on the time line I feel the K3 would make sure she is here my X mas. I worry about my mom health and it was hard on her last year at Xmas time. It would mean a lot for her to have her grandson here for Xmas. Chase will be her first grand child that she help care for.

I know it only 2 months different, but the joy it would bring my mother is worth it.

it works out to $128 more for a K3 that is not worth anything to me over the joy of our family.

That's what I did as well. Only problem, Ooi is too short to reach the selector valve, so if I don't remember to change it back...

Let's just say you can hear her scream on the other side of the house!

If you get the CR-1, Nan will get her 2 yr GC in a couple of weeks after entering, along with her SSN. If you get a K-3, you will have to file for AOS, which will cost you $1010.00, and you will have to wait till you get your EAD approved, or GC, which ever comes first, for Nan to work (if she wanted to).

Going CR-1 will definitely save money and paperwork.
