Hi to all VJ Members.....jz want to ask something....M currently working here in the Middle East, jz got here last February. My fiance and I sent the I-129 last April. Will the embassy in Manila give me enough time to file my vacation for the interview? We usually have the filing of vacation process for 45 days here.

Any idea?

Thanks...

Good question. It seems to be taking somewhere around 4 months from the time the embassy in Manila receives the file to when they schedule an interview. My plan is to wait about 30 days after ours gets there and then start giving the embassy a call to see if my fiancee's interview has been scheduled. I have noticed some people are not receiving their packets with appointment letters for the interview and medical until just before they are scheduled. It looks like people are getting their interview scheduled long before they get their packets in some cases. But if you call and they have it scheduled they will tell you even though you don't have your packet. Should have at least 45 days to plan for your time off from what I see from the Manila embassy timelines.

Thanks so much. We didn't hire a lawyer for this and this site helps us a lot. God bless to both of you... (L)
