hi everyone!

so am going home to ph soon and we haven't purchase ticket on line to US. we decided that i book/pay the ticket myself via cash- we also considered a lot of not-so-good stories of ticket related bought through SO's cc such as possible rejection at the ph airport, or issues about whose cc was it used  ...since i still have 20 days in ph before our target date to fly to US, hence, the decision to buy it myself. We have choosen EVA air. I have called them in their Ayala office and i was advised to purchase via travel agent as its more expensive buying direct to the airlne.

I haven't been in ph for the last 3 yrs and neither do i use travel agents when travelling before so pls ...need your help .Can u recommend any travel agent based in Cubao or Manila area?

btw, i know i can walk around cubao and manila or read ads on newspaper but its best to buy from the first hand experience and/or travel agents you guys have dealt with. :star:

thank you so much and bless everyone

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Why dont you try PAL? How much is the fare difference between PAL and other carrier? I just bought my mom a one-way ticket today from PAL, and it cost $736 (including tax). Its a 12hr direct flight. I called PAL Reservation 855-8888 and booked her on Oct 15, Will pick up the ticket tomorrow in Makati. I am the creditcard holder and my mom is the traveler, and had no problem.

wow thank you bunches for the FYI... i did call the eva air and yes they have no problem purchasing ticket on line ....but we are looking at less possibilities of hassle at the airport ...if buying it myself thru cash payment help that then ....its the next best option i suppose. (we can either pay thru cc or cash- doesnt matter) anway be inquiring personally when i get home.

thanks a lot

hi everyone!

so am going home to ph soon and we haven't purchase ticket on line to US. we decided that i book/pay the ticket myself via cash- we also considered a lot of not-so-good stories of ticket related bought through SO's cc such as possible rejection at the ph airport, or issues about whose cc was it used  ...since i still have 20 days in ph before our target date to fly to US, hence, the decision to buy it myself.

If he/she use there CC follow the rules of the airlines or book thru the airlines and pay a 25.00 fee or so and you be ok it's not that hard. call the airlines 1st and ask! Most will be ok with paying with out the CC stuff your talking about.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

To protect the true credit card owner, we require presentation of the credit card used in purchasing tickets from this website at the ticket collection point or upon check-in. If the credit card owner is not part of the travelling party and is unable to present the credit card, CLEAR photocopies of the front of the credit card and the valid PHOTO ID of the credit card owner shall be required from the passengers at the ticket collection point or at check-in.

It shall be the responsibility of the credit card owner to ensure that the passenger(s) comply with this requirement otherwise the passenger(s) shall be denied boarding.

wow thank you bunches for the FYI... i did call the eva air and yes they have no problem purchasing ticket on line ....but we are looking at less possibilities of hassle at the airport ...if buying it myself thru cash payment help that then ....its the next best option i suppose. (we can either pay thru cc or cash- doesnt matter) anway be inquiring personally when i get home.

thanks a lot

Cash or CC you can still have hassles, try to cut down the stops no more the one stop if you can, thats how you get the hassles. Best of luck

I am the creditcard holder and my mom is the traveler, and had no problem.

difference of more or less 300 usd (with tax). :star: but will see....cos the date is a lot closer.. might be more expensive now. thank you  and good for you... btw, its not about when u buy the ticket that gives the trouble according to what i read here.....its at the airport on the day of the flight that gets fussy ...to some. trying to avoid the same fate.

best of luck to your mom :star:

I just got a one way for my wife on PAL from mnl to hnl non-stop Manila-Hawaii for $496

wow thats really a good deal. my final destination is sac,ca so we did have a look at hawaii airlines however he wanted us to have a weekend stay in SFO -look around a lil...thats why we found eva air as next best thing to hawaii air at less than $500 one way to SFO.

anyway, from your replies- am getting a better view of other options so.... will see. tnxx lots :star:

I bought my ticket round trip last March from Mango Tours in Newark, CA. I just arrange everything on the phone with Marissa and at the same time I also bought my son's one way ticket from Manila to Boston and there was really no problem elsewhere. Yesterday I was booking a flight to Manila possibly November. One way for me from Boston International Airport costing $565 including tax. $765 for my son's including tax also. Maybe you can try them, Marissa is my contact person there and she is a very nice lady. They have a branch at H.V. dela Costa in Makati. If you want to buy a ticket and the passenger will be coming from Manila, Marissa can book you in communication with their branch in Makati. You can also call their Makati office for free thru Marissa. I hope this helps. Good luck. Just google Mango Tours Newark, CA contact numbers.
