Just called the embassy today and we got our appointment for Sept 22nd! After all the hold-ups at the uscis and nvc it is nice to finally get things moving. I am so looking forward to heading back to the Philippines to see my lady during her interview and finally having her over here shortly thereafter. Woohoo:)

Let's just say, I am impatient when it comes to trusting the Philippine's postal service so I didn't bother to wait for that before calling the embassy. :) We know our documents arrived at the embassy via DHL so I gave them a couple of days to get it unpacked and added to their system. The very nice lady I spoke with at the embassy asked if I had obtained the info they sent out and I informed her Jovy had not but we have a couple of other items we are trying to schedule around this interview date and would much appreciate getting it scheduled today. She said that was fine and let me go ahead and pick a date. We actually needed it a bit further out rather than sooner which is what I think most try to do. We could of gotten anywhere near the end of Aug and pretty much all of Sept was open when I called. May change as time goes I am sure though.

The lady at the embassy was the nicest person I have dealt with during this entire process.

Good luck on her interview and at last I heard some nice words about our kababayan at the US Embassy in Manila. Maybe she was really in good mood when you call or shall I say maybe she's human enough to understand the dilemma of the thousands of people waiting for their turn.
