I am really confused. From what I have searched on VJ, most of the people say the A# has 8 digits and the A# can be found on the NOA2 above the beneficiary's name. On my NOA2, it has 9 digits, which starts with A and then a 0 (zero), and _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (8 digits follow). For example, it looks like this: A023 888 999. However, on my I-94, the immigrantion officer wrote the entire number series, but omitted the 0, which makes my A# 8 digits in total,

like this A23 888 999. My question is should I copy what's on my I-94 or that on my NOA2 when I am filing out all the forms for AOS?

This is perfectly normal.

A # always begins with zero. Yes, please follow your NOA #2 approval form.

My fiances A # also begins with A0 and i just added in the rest A#089901xxx

3/20/2009: NOA 2 Notice Approval Date

05/28/2009: Interview APPROVED

08/17/2009 -- Check clears $1010 USCIS

8/21/2009-- NOA 1 for I-485 and I-765 Hard Copy

08/29/2009-- Received Biometrics Appointment Letter in the mail, dated 08/26
