We recieved our noa2 now, Im told the next step is to call NVC in couple days and get the case# and the date they sent it to the embassy. Is this correct?

After I have the case number, can we schedule the interview by phone? Or do I have to wait until the embassy comfirms having the case?

I need a timeline of what to do in the next couple weeks; our noa2 date is 8-6-09.

Also, for the medical.. she can go up there anytime or does she have to make an appointment?

Thanks.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

For the medical, no appointment needed, as long as she has the requirements, she can have the medical anytime.

Schedule of medical is said to be best atleast 2 weeks before the interview.

In our case, for the interview, we waited for the letter from the embassy that i am eligible to be scheduled for interview.

Best of Luck!

So as soon as we get the case number I can start calling the embassy to see if they recieved our application?

And once they recieve our application, I can call the number to schedule the interview right away?

Generally how long do they schedule the interview out?

Thank you all for the replys.

Chaz and Ena,

I saw the name was mis spelled on the Embassy letter. I may have a similar issue. How did you fix it? Thank you so much!!

hi , for K visas , they do not schedule the interview , you will have to call USEM call center and ask for available dates or if you want the soonest sked there is ; correct me guys if I am wrong , USEM schedules interview dates for CR-1/IR-1 petitions only . oh btw , calling USEM call center cost 53pesos/minute.

good luck on your journey.

I called the NVC and have gotten my case number, said they just recieved it on 8-10-2009. They say it takes 2-4 weeks to process? How much time does it really take to process usually?

Ok.. now that I have the case number what can I do?

After its mailed, do I call the embassy with case number to check when its recieved? Then I can scedule interview right? Plez tell..

NVC will send you a letter (NOA2) saying your petition has been approved ; then NVC will forward approved petition to the USEM and they will send a letter(PACKET3) to your fiancee thru courier,DHL.; it would take about 2-3 weeks after petition has been approved ; so your fiancee may get letter by the end of August or earlier ; the letter will contain case number and that she is elligible for interview and medical exams ; also in the letter are websites wherein she can check on which documents needed for interview and where she can download necessarily forms ; the letter will contain all informations .

I hope this one helps , congratulations , good luck on your journey.

I scanned and emailed our NOA2. My darling then printed it and started building a folder of papers to take with her to the interview.

Our application took about 10 days to arrive in Manila and get entered into the computer system in Manila.

This was not counting the 4 days it took to get from CSC to NVC...
