Hi everyone,

Well, I had my medical today and I think/hope all went well. The doctor said I will know if everything is okay if I receive a sealed envelope on Friday when I go and pick up the results! So here's to a sealed envelope!! Anyways, I left Hamilton at 5:30 this morning and got to Toronto parking lot (which is one street past clinic) at 6:30. At 6:40 I started to walk towards office and the door was locked. A few minutes later two more people showed up. A lady let us in a few minutes before 7:00. She took the first two pages of interview confirmation and then we went to a waiting room. There were people already in the waiting room so I'm guessing the front desk lady comes out between 6:30 and 7:00 and lets people in as they come. First they call you in to take your info and collect everything and pay, then the chest xray, then blood work and then physical. All in all, it was a smooth process and I was out of the office and in car by 9:08. I was missing my booster shot (hadn't gotten one in over ten years) so I went directly to my doctor and got one and then faxed Toronto office with proof of shot. I'm going back to TO on Friday to pick up results, so if everything goes smootly with that, I'll be heading to Montreal next Tuesday for my Wednesday interview!!! So, hope this helps everyone. The whole staff was great, but it kind of felt like we were sheep and being herd through everything. The only complaint was the xray lady was obviously experienced at this but was in a rush to complete everyone and was trying to hurry you....can't hurry a 1/2 naked lady with chest exposed and slamming xray wall thingy up and down!! OUCH!! Slow down lady and smile!! Other than that it was great.

I was at the same office last week and there was only a family of 4 ahead of me. I did my xray, then physical then blood work. I was the first out of anyone to leave. I got there at 6:35 and left at 8:10 :)

My only complaint is that the lady that did my blood work isn't very good. I have tiny veins, so my mom made the trip with me (She's a phlobotomist). So I told the nurse that I can get my mom if she can't find a vein. Well she eventually found one after poking around a bit and happened to hit a nerve while doing that. My arm was numb for most of the rest of the day.
