Your case is quite interesting. Medyo nagulo ang braincells ko dun, heheh. Based on my understanding..u signed a doc saying that you got married for immigration purposes? Did you read and fully understand the doc before you signed it? What made you sign? I suggest that u have to find an immigration lawyer that could assist you with your case, because its really complicated.

Hope your case will be resolved soon! Keep us posted :)

People Don't sign if you do not understand the statement. if you do not understand on what being said in the paper ask them to make sure you sign for the right purpose.

Hey! as far as I know, you are still legally married.

Only the Philippine courts can reverse this fact with a decree or judgment.

Don't worry about your marriage, unless the marriage was done illegally. See Family Code of the Philippines.

As for the document you signed, I'm sorry this happened to you. (F) Next time, don't sign anything you don't understand. Ask them to translate it line per line in Tagalog. :)

I hope everything works out good for you. Are you going to file another petition? Check with an immigration lawyers first.

OH MY GOSH ! lol. Did you just said you signed that paper saying that you only married your husband for Immigrant purposed only ??? Sis why did you signed it ? The counselor not gonna force you or shoot you if your not gonna signed that paper if your marriage is really real. Like Dianne said you should fight for it and tell to CO that your marriage is legal and your purpose is not by only coming here in U.S so you are not signing those paper... You should just tell them that you going to find more proof of your marriage and left the Embassy :( . Who knows after that maniwala na sila na true talaga ang purpose ng marriage nyo. But anyway... Tama na ang pag-sisisi, the damage is done na. But maybe they still a chance.. Like hiding a Lawyer that you just got nervous and didnt really understand that much the paper that you already signed. The problem is... The time and money you guys gonna spend for this. And maybe still not sure if what's the result will gonna be at the end...

Sorry that this happened to you sis... Hope everything will be fine and both of you be strong about this.. Good Luck na lang and pray for God.

Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.

Thanks for all the comments, i did sign because they will ban me for the whole life not just me and the entire family cant go to usa, My husband has k1 petition of his x that havent cancel at that time and also i had tourist application before that was denied they really dont believe me that i love my husband because husband just came here ones then married immediately then 1 year didnt come back after marriage,i explained but they dont want to believe me so the conclusion was immigrant purposes only, the consul said why i didnt apply for immigrant why i choose k3 , consul told me i have to withdraw because im not capable to apply for k3 visa because its really many issues came out during interviewed husband cant reach poverty level, they dont accept my co-sponsor either, husband filed bankcruptcy, husband many debts, husband dont own a house, husband didnt cancel x k1 petition.

The only thing im worried my marriage is it still valid after signed that statement that they wanted me to signed that married for immigrant puposes only and no love?I told them i dont care if his poor i married him because i love him, i said we can start a new life and solve the problem but they dont wanted me to become a public charge that's what they explained to me so i withdrawn and the word BAN makes my head crazy. after signed the statements the consul said anytime i can apply immigrant but i have to tell my husband to cancel the k1 petition that still active and he have to visit me sometimes here in the philippines, By the way my immigrant petition at that time was approve but we choose the k3 so that i can bring my daughter with me.well hope evrybody can understand me now

I agree with this. A good immigration lawyer is what you need right now. Your situation is too complicated and unique, i am not sure if anybody from vj had same situation as yours. Goodluck girl and keep praying.

Yeah, I think I already read her story before and how sad she was that she had to sign. She had no other option that time, it's either to be banned (including her family) or to sign the paper stating that she married her husband for immigration purposes only. Granted that she signed the statement, she still has a chance to apply for a CR1, but to the OP, sis, i think you better fix all the problems first, before you proceed to a more complicated process, which is CR1. And, to answer your question, when your marriage is recorded in NSO, it is not void. It is considered valid. However, the consulate is looking for more detailed proofs of genuine relationship. K1 petition will expire if there is no response from the beneficiary and the petitioner I guess. So, if it has been a year since he married you, then probably the K1 is already considered withdrawn. However, tell your husband to do everything he can and make sure the petition is already withdrawn. Hire an immigration attorney this time, if you plan to proceed to CR1. Good luck and hope your problem will be resolved.
