My approved K-1 sat in the wrong file for 8 weeks........I called to the NVC everyday and they did not have it....I called the service center many times and filed for a review......after 6 weeks I got a letter from the service center saying.....we hear you.....wait another 4 weeks and call again.......I called the congressman....they called and the same day had the problem fixed....the approved K-1 was in the wrong file and would have been there for the rest of my life........

Good for you... thanx God it was fixed... the SAME thing happened to me... VSC put my file in an "off storage facility"... the whole process took more than 6 months... it was awful.... we also needed the help of a congressman and a senator... I'm glad for you :)

I´m glad you fixed it but I must say, I am so tired of USCIS screw ups. :( We sit here and see people who just filed getting approved when we don´t, we see them loosing papers and saying we never sent them, we see petitions lost alltogether, recalled petitions prior to IMBRA, etc. It´s amazing. And there´s not much we can do, except call our congressmen. :(

sorry for the mistake

This will give you a laugh I work with many unions and an oldtimer I work with off and on --late 70's-- told me a story when I asked him why his union was so militant.

He said years ago the officals treated every one like dirt. lost their papers, checks, and basicly caused many many problems which for a group of people that travel for a living make it twice as bad. One day a disgruntaled member walked into the union hall and Put 6 rounds into the worst offender. He laughed very hard and told me said things ran much smoother after that ;)
