Ok, so I'm not going to turn this into a ZOMG I have to take GARDASSIL?? thread.

I took the first of the shots last month. I asked the nurse at my doctor's office if it will go on my vaccination record and she said yes. Well I picked up my record the other day and it wasn't on it. I called my doctors office to request a note because my medical is on Monday. The lady said "Well I can't promise, the doctor is overbooked today and tomorrow". So I call the health unit and they told me that they don't keep records past age 18 unless I get my shots done there.

So my question is, if my doctors office can't get me my note before tomorrow afternoon will it be a big deal at the medical? I can always fax the doctor the note, or bring it to Montreal with me.

Thanks!

~P

Do you have that Yellow Vaccination booklet? If so, just write it in yourself. The Dr. at the immigration medical in Toronto, just took the written yellow booklet (which anyone can pretty much fill in).

For purposes of public health, your Dr. must keep a list of all vaccines and their Lot#, so if the immigration Dr. requires that information then they should accept a fax as well.

Yes, I have my little yellow book. So I can just write it in? Should I call my doctor's office and tell them to forget it then? I think I would feel more comfortable if I had the record myself eventually.

But thanks! I got really worried for few minutes :)

Definitely still get the record for your own piece of mind, but to be honest I just have it written in my yellow booklet and it's been fine.
