Check cashed but no case info found at USCIS.gov

The check for the I-751 has been cashed by USCIS. From my bank online, I can see the USCIS case # (EAC and 10 digits) written on the front of the check and the "DEPOSIT ONLY USCIS Vermont Service Center" stamped on the back.

When I go to USCIS.gov to view the case status online, and enter "EAC" and the 10 digit number on the check, I get a message saying "Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online".

Why can't I see info about my case online? Is the EAC# on the check not our case#? Will we be assigned a different case# later?

Do not panic!

You cant see anything yet because the number you see at the back of your check is your 1 year extension letter NOA receipt number, its not the case number, when you receive your extension letter you will also find same explanation on that, you can see your case status online after you receive a biometrics appointment letter! Your real case number will be appearing on biometrics notice ! and you can use only that number to search your case satus online!

What I observe on this forum, people mostly can see their status online after their biometrics done by using that number!
