my wife and i had a lovely visit with the consular at the embassey in bogota, colombia. the consular spent 1 hour together with me grilling me on many different topics, he spent 15 minutes with my wife and then informed me that he could not issue the visa for the I - 129 because he did not believe in our relationship. now we have another appointment with the consular for the I - 130. will the I - 130 be easier for us or will the failure of the I - 129 come and haunt us and make this one more difficult for us ?

It's not guaranteed that you will get a visa even for a CR1 but stand firm and be honest about everything until they approve her visa. They will probably ask you about the K1 visa you had previously interviewed for but the good thing is that you will most likely get a different CO conducting the interview.

Were any specific reason why the visa was not granted? Did you have travel records, email, phones, money transfer pictures, boarding ticket, marriage certificate, honey moon pic?

thanks Amparo & diego
