Payment for I-130 Marriage

I am planning on paying by personal check or money order, however I am wondering if there is a problem if the check is not in the petitioners name, I.E. if my father writes a check or if I give him money to make a money order. I am not in the USA right now and I don't have my checkbook with me so to make things easier I am planning on sending the packet to my father, without the check, my father will simply put the check/money order in the packet and mail it to CHI. Is there any problem with this?

u can pay by money order or check it does not matter who is the owner of the check

they care about the money,not the name ,lol,just make sure to put ur name on the left corner of the check.

Makes no difference. As Abby n Sheryl said all they care about is the money. I had a similar situation to yours and had my father write the check. No problems at all. Good luck on your Journey. Mike
