Original Police Certificate

Hi everyone,

I sent my wife original police certificates to the NVC. Now they are asking me to bring a new certificates at the time of interview. One of the operator even said that I send them copies infact I have copies with me and they have the originals.

My question is should I just get the same certificates out or completely get new ones, even thought on the certificate it states it is valid for six months from the date of issue.

NVC:

2009-04-16 NVC Case# assigned

2009-04-20 Send email DS-3032 and Payed online AOS Fee Bill

2009-04-21 NVC atuomated system states "Received AOS Fee Bill"

2009-04-22 Printed Document Cover Sheet for AOS/I-864 Fee status "PAID"

2009-04-28 Received DS-3032 acceptance confirmation email.

2009-04-28 IV Fee Bill generated and Payed IV Fee Bill online.

2009-04-29 Waiting for papers.(DS-230+Passport copy and Police certificate)

2009-06-15 Received papers DS-230 (TOOK LONG TIME FOR PAPERS TO PREPARE)

I would suggest just getting new ones all over again. You never know if they lost the originals or whatever. It would be safer to just get new originals for the interview so they are all updated and what have you. I know it's a pain to get them but just give them what they ask for to avoid delays. Good luck...

i had called the consulate. if you have a copy you can submit that at the interview.

we sent in ours to NVC as well.

the embassy recognizes a pakistan certificate valid for one year...

so you are fine

U should get a new one,my mom has interview tomorrow ,she was asked to get new one even though the one she sent to NVC is not expired yet cuz it was issued on 3-3-09 ,but she got the new one for tommorrow.and I came to know they ask firstthing, interview letter and then new original police certificate,before proceding any further for interview.and for my pleasent surprise I got new police certificate from Tamuria thana Karachi with out paying a single paisa.good luck
