i-864 question...

Hello!

I'm really stressed out about something right now... i just realized they ask for what mu husband earn the last three years. Here's the thing, now he does meet the requirements of the poverty line, but two years ago, he didn't...does that matter ?

This is not an issue.

USCIS is concerned with current and future income. Income from 2 years ago is in the past.

This is why the I-864 form instructions say this:

You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years.

This is a very frequent question, try searching the board.
