Hello,

I've got more questions about this section of the 325a than information for it, hehe. We just want to make sure we get it all exactly right.

Part One:

When filling out the g-325a employment history section, if more space is needed, do we need to just have one extra sheet with the additional information, or 4? Since there are four copies of the information in the form, I wonder if they also need four attachments to go with it? If so, should one be attached to each page?

--------------------

Part Two:

Regarding gaps in the history... I've seen some people indicate that having periods ending and beginning in adjacent months counts as a gap.

For example, does it count as a gap to say "Worked at X from January to June, then worked at Y from July to December"? Theoretically since we don't enter exact dates there could be a gap of about 58 days, or the job at X could have ended June 30, and started with Y on July 1. Anywhere from zero to two months of gap.. but since there's no exact dates we can't clarify that in the form.

Another example. "Worked at X until the end of June, then unemployed for just July, then worked at Y starting on August 1".. How should this be listed? What if it was "worked until the middle of June, unemployed until the middle of August" ?

I'm asking these questions because they actually are coming up for our situation as we fill these forms out. Heheh.

If they don't count "ends sometime in June, starts sometime in July" as a gap, then we're good on part of it. In the second example then, would we need to enter Not Employed from July to July?

-------------------

Part Three:

Should being a student be listed in this section, or just not employed? I suspect it counts as not-employed, but we wanted to ask anyways to be sure.

-------------------

Part Four:

She has been somewhat an "employee" of her oldest brothers business since she was still in college. She's been listed in some records as in that position for the whole time .. But much of that time it's been an inactive job, and unpaid, except for a few time periods where it was her full time duty, and occasionally she will help in some situations. Some time periods since college she's had full time work elsewhere.

Depending on how this should properly be listed, this could complicate or simplify the answer to the employment section of the 325.

We could just put "name of brothers business, 200X to present", and then not fill out any "not employed" gaps... and add the times where she "also" worked elsewhere... or we could just fill out the times she actually worked there full time which would create even more unemployed gaps. Heh.

------------------

I am so "detail oriented" it hurts sometimes. But I suppose it can help avoid mistakes.

I hope this wasn't too much for a single post. hehe.

Hey there, the only part of your question I can actually give you any advice on is part one. You need to attach 4 separate sheets to be on the safe side because actually all four of those forms are different. Good luck. Mike
