where's my NOA1?

 I sent the I-130 in june, I know it was received on june 17th, cuz I asked for the signature. It's now july 6th and I haven't heard from TSC saying they got my petition neither have they cashed my check... So I went to the website today to see what's going on. I didn't assemble my petition correctly, I didn't tape the sides, and I didn't put the pictures in an envelope... There were no instructions like these on the application for the I-130, itself so I didn't know how they wanted it, I put everythiing in a folder neatly and gemclipped the pictures to the bio sheet and clipped the check to the side... Now I'm thinking my petition is scattered around some big room full of papers...Could this be why I haven't received anything? I'm so worried, i wish I could just get it back and send it again. Any ideas?

I don't think you need to worry. As long as you provided all the info requested on the I-130, you should be fine. Afterall, I doubt that 100% of the applicants follow the instructions on this site!

Be patient...if you will learn anything on this forum it's that these things can take a LOOONNNGG time. Just keep watching your bank account to see when the check has cleared.

Best of luck!

I was wondering the same thing. I mailed my I-130 on June 16 with the correct fee. I had not discovered this website before I mailed my petition, but the USCIS website has instructions how to assemble the packet, which I followed. I did NOT send my I-130 express mail but instead sent it standard First Class, with NO delivery confirmation. I think that was a mistake. I did not write on the envelope it was original submission as directed on this website. The check has not been sent through my bank as of noon today and I have not received anything in the mail. My submission was sent to Nebraska Center. I am also fearing the worst. I'm also having trouble getting the G325A forms to my wife in the Philippines to sign to include with the I-129F. I sent a set to her on June 21 and she has not received. I sent another set today. I was really hoping to get this process moving along, but based upon the fast action for some cases, I was fearing that it might happen too quickly. My wife can't come to the US until April of next year, but I was hoping to have the process completed and her visa issued by then. I guess I'll wait and see.

The worst part of this process is that the applicant is in total dark, we dont and cant know whats heppening.

I have suggested in past that we submit letters to congress so that they ask USCIS to give us real info on their phone line, rather than telling us what we can see online. I am not asking for a change in law but at least what USCIS can do is that when we call them, they can pull our file and tell us exactly whats happening with it. With NOA1 sometimes they enter wrong address in the system, so your NOA1 goes to a wrong address, now your file has a wrong address, and you have to wait 30 days to pass before you can speak to an immigration officer who can tell you that!!!!!!!!!!! What good is national customer service number for???????? Is it only that when i call, they ask me what state do i live in? then pull dates for service center, then tell me what dates they are processing!!!!!!!!! But i can see it online!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so many frustrated people here, but its sad that we are afraid to ask for this change in how USCIS works. When I last asked VJ members to write to congress and tell them to ask USCIS to be more efficient on their phone line, everyone made fum of me, so I guess its our fault for the stress we go thorugh!!!!!!!

A lot of people seem to be expecting the I-130 NOA1's very quickly...even the ones who know it needs to go to the Service Center then get forwarded, like TSC to CSC. Almost any research on here will show that the average time right now is about 20-30 days to receive your NOA1....I recently was in the same boat.

Don't start stressin' out until your passed this time frame!
