Hello, guys!

We have filled out and mailed our applications on 8th of June, received the notice and then the biometrics appointment. However, the appointment has been canceled and I've got a RFE this Monday. When filling out i-864, we've included my(the immigrant) income(since my wife was missing the poverty guideline), which I would receive in the amount of $1000 dollars from my parents abroad for as long as the application is pending. I've included my father's bank account to demonstrate their ability to provide me with that income. Also, was included the letter explaining it.

The RFE(don't have it handy right now) included supplemental evidence for the legality of this income, I suppose. How can I explain it to them?

I've been on my OPT since last June, and it expired on the 8th of June. I have been working during that time and have all the w-2s and 1040's handy to prove it.

This is very confusing, so I am contemplating having a joint sponsor fill out the i-864 for us. Would they accept it along with the explanation of why I have included my previous income?

Oh, and I've also received a RFE for medical. I had it done by a civil surgeon at a clinic and mailed it along with my application. One thing, though, I've had chicken pox as a kid, but have no evidence. I asked my mom and she confirmed it, but the doc told me to either take the vaccine or he'll write something in the form (i have a copy and need to check it). I've attached a written explanation, as to why I did not have varicella in my i-693 packet and sent it in. What else do they want now? I've read the envelope requirements and the clinic, i guess, did not wrap it in anything and just put some "don't open" stamps on it.

Thank you all so much for your input!

p.s. the center the RFE came from is in Missouri.

Oh, and one more thing: when we have included my income, the RFE had also asked me to fill out I-864A. I was like #######? since I am a spouse, I don't have to do that? makes me wonder what kind of "professionals" work there. Anyone know if it's possible to somehow contact the center directly? Thank you, all!

okay, i guess, the biometrics was canceled for a bunch of people, so i feel a lot better, yet can anyone advise me on the issues?

i've called the clinic and the lady was a real b*** to me, saying that I don't need to teach her how to do her job, something about guidelines changing (which was total bs, cuz i called other clinics around), etc. and hung up on me. I am trying to get that chicken pox record from my parents overseas and go to the clinic on Friday. What should I do about the i-864 stuff though?

Thank you.

your vaccination card from home was the evidence :) I'm trying to get my parents to send me my records as well.

What should I do about the i-864 stuff? My friend said that he will be our joint sponsor. I am thinking about writing a letter of explanation regarding the income previously included and then a different i-864 for a joint sponsor. What do you guys think?

Edit: my friend has about 6 w-2's and missing 2. He has Turbotax Online account that has all the info about his filings. Can we just use those records instead of the missing w-2's?
