Hi Guys,

I am now in the USA through CR1 visa..after i week i got my SSN and a week after i got my I-797C, NOA (welcome notice) and after five days i got another I-797C, NOA (ASC Appointment Notice) the case type is I485 Application to register permanent resident or adjust status....the USCIS must capture your biometrics to process our application.

I came from Japan through DCF application, honestly i didn't know NOA before, because we didn't deal with USCIS.

I got confused with the ASC Appointment or do i have to worry about this notice? Because i expect to receive a conditional green card soon....i really need to know what's going on my application....thanks ahead.

Biometrics is not something you should worry about, it's normal. They will take your fingerprints and take a picture of you for your CGC.

you shouldn't have to go through any more process, and you should be expecting your green card since you filed for CR1, unless they lost your finger prints and your pic. I would definitely give USCIS a call to find out what's going on and tell them you came in with a immigrant visa not a k1 or k3 or other non-immigrant visas. good luck
