NO INTERVIEW FOR ME IN JULY :(

I thought for sure someone was going to get an interview in July; I just snuck in under the wire for June with a completion date of April 7th. When I was getting my medical done in Vancouver last month there were a lot of people going to Montreal that were being sponsered by their parents. It is a crying shame that Montreal is the only place now that does immigration visas - back in the day my sister had her's and her family's done in Calgary. Keep your chins up and try not to be glum, we all feel for you.

Thanks for the breakdown! Everytime I try to research timelines I get very confused and frustrated trying to figure them out. I'm sure that they have so many slots for interviews per month for I130's and so many for K1's...etc. I hope and pray for a call/email at the end of the month. Hopefully some of us will have the same day...and then we could meet for a celebatory drink in Montreal the night before!!! Thanks for all the helpful tips!!

By the way, where is everyone moving to in the US after receiving GC?? And where in Canada is everyone from? (Hamilton, Ontario here)

I am going to Delaware. (Dover to be specific)

Yeah, it would be great if some of us get interviews around the same time. I know I'll be a nervous wreck and could use all the moral support I can get!

My original purpose of figuring out the timeline thing was to see if there was any kind of scheduling lull around this time last year, but then I got sleepy and didn't actually figure that part out. Hehe. I actually got most of the information from this thread (thanks to Trailmix for keeping track of interviews etc. for nearly 2 years!)

Just curious... are you going for CR-1/IR-1? Or something else? I notice that your timeline says "other visa".

Oh, and I'm from Ottawa, but I grew up in Burlington. And I'm moving to Tulsa. It should be um... an experience.

Hey! How come I thought you were moving to Texas? Maybe it's because that's where you got married I guess. Yeah, Trailmix rocks! At least half of the things I've tracked over time have come from her.

Being there at the same time would be great, but I'm sure most of your interviews will be way before mine. I'm curious, are any of your spouses going to the interview?

My husband is in Woodstock, Ontario but originally from Amherst, Nova Scotia. He's been in Ontario for years though. He'll be moving to the beautiful state of Indiana. lol We were just in Hamilton a few weeks ago.

Yeah, it could be because I was married in Texas. My husband grew up there, and he just loves it. He always seems happier when he's in Texas! We usually seem to spend a bit of time there whenever I go to visit him, because it's not that far from Tulsa and we enjoy road trips. It's entirely possible that we'll move to Texas at some point in the future. I guess we'll just have to see where life takes us!

I still don't know if my husband will be able to go to the interview with me. We have to fit 4 things into 2 relatively short trips... my friend's wedding in July, the interview (whenever that may be), our wedding reception (which will depend on when the trips are), and moving. My husband has quite a bit of vacation time saved up, so in theory, he should be able to make a couple of two week trips here this summer, but his boss doesn't seem to want to go for that. We're trying to work up a proposal where he could present to his boss a plan of how they could live without him for a few weeks, but we don't figure it will work. I don't see what the big deal is. So what if his job isn't done as efficiently for a little while? The world won't end! But oh well. So since it looks like the interview will not be around the time of my friend's wedding, I'll likely have to go to Montreal on my own, since the interview is the one of the four things that I can manage by myself. My Mom said she'd take the trip with me if I want her to, but honestly, I think she'd probably make me more nervous since she tends to be a bit of a fusspot. And then I guess my husband will plan a trip for a few weeks after the interview, and we'll have our reception then, and then the big move will be shortly after that... assuming I get the visa, of course. :)

Really Trailmix. Your our V.J. Angel :innocent:

I second that! :)
