Hi Guys, hope u can help me here. Ask ko lang bakit ung friend ko nung dumating sya Port of Entry nya she was advice to report to the nearest Health Public Center na malapit location nya. Dumaan din ako sa sputum test tulad nya but hindi ako inadvice sa Port of entry ko na magundergo ng sputum or magreport sa pinaka-malapit ng health center dito sa place namin. more than 2 weeks na ko dito sa US wala rin akong natatanggap na letter para mgundergo ulit ng sputum or magrepot. Nalilito ako, im worried kasi na baka mgkaproblema ako pagnagdjust kami ng status ko dito. anybody who has the same experience like mine....pls help me. !!

Dapat pinagreport ka, kasi as far as I know people that undergone a sputum test or medication sa pinas, When they get here they have to report to the nearest health center.

Did they let you see the contents of the brown envelop at your port of entry?

Cause I also undergone medication from SLEC, and when I got here kabilin bilinan ng Immigration officer is to report to the local health center or the papers won't be processed.

Hi Jen....

When I got here last Friday (my POE was Chicago), I was advice by the immigration officer to call the Public Health Department within a week. When my Bebe Ko called the Public Health last Monday, we were refer to the nearest health center here in Joliet, IL, to have skin test.

I was given a yellow paper together with the paper from SLEC where they explained my sputum culture test. I was told to show it to the health center.

Supposed to be last Tuesday, I should have my skin test but then, the health center conduct it only every Monday and Friday, so my mom in-law to be will accompany me today instead.

I guess, it could be better if you called the State Public Health Department. You are here also in IL, right? Then, they will refer you to the nearest health center in your area.

Good Luck!

I was'nt given any paper in my port of entry,Seattle,WA.the immigration officer just told me that the CDC might call me,after 2 days i got my son's cd xray,i've waited for the call but to no avail.i tried calling the public health centers near here, but they knew nothing about it.they even told me that it'll be at my own expense if i want to undergo a sputum tests.i even called the department of health but got no luck either.i've been here for 6 months and my aos is still pending that's why i have no clue yet if this will have any effect.

When I got to the Public Health last Friday, I was told that I am so early for the test because my papers aren't yet arriving in their system. My soon to be mom in law was with me, so she talked to them on what we need to do. They gave me skin test, and will be back on Monday, and then we will back again on Thursday to see the doctor, have my health clearance validates. Because my papers aren't yet in their system, they just copy my papers and the yellow paper for their records, and will be send to CDC with my result. I was told that even though I am cleared in the Philippines, I need to be cleared here too.

I was told also that this could affect AOS, so it's good that we are fixing this before we file for AOS.
