Is Scheduling an INFOPASS to ask about ceremony or early interview a bad idea?

My Interview is coming up in July 02, and I heard there will be 2 Oath Ceremonies in my local office June 25 and 29....

I was wanting to ask them, since I will miss those, when the next ones will be since I wanted to complete by Sept 4th for a upcoming trip... I was even gonna ask if I can do an early interview to make it to those ceremonies, but I'm guessing they will always say no to that, has any1 been successful in getting an early interview?

I would think you would need a very good reason to ask them to expedite. Besides, they may not even have your file from the NBC yet. If they're having multiple ceremonies in June, I'm sure they will have ceremonies in July and August as well. Maybe you'd get lucky and have your Oath on July 4th.

I would love to request an expedite because I got laid off and we may need to relocate, but I'm pretty sure they'd just tell me to do an address change if we have to move. To get an expedite you have to show that you would suffer a significant financial loss if they don't, or be able to show that it is in the public interest.

That said, the worst they can say is no.

Sorry mate, but I think you should be grateful that you already have an interview date so soon. I have been waiting since September and have only just been scheduled for July.

I don't believe the infopass system has a category for expediting interviews, since you basically need to be 45 days out from having already submitted a service request. In order to submit a service request you need to be more than 30 days outside normal processing times. So basically, you don't have a leg to stand to on!

I am sure if you pass your interview you will get a Oath Ceremony date before Sept. So no need to expidite
