If I opt to go the K3 route, can I use a co/joint sponser or is that something reserved only for the CR1? Just trying to see all possible options.

Sorry if this is a repost.

Takes money to get married, amazed at some of these young couples that go in debt $20,000.00 for a big wedding when they don't even have a bed to sleep in. Meeting the woman of my dreams from a foreign country wasn't cheap either, with immigration cost, transportation, moving key items, the price tag rose to over $15,000.00.

Then they hand you a I-864 to sign demanding that you are earning enough money you can't even live on, but really a strong commitment in the sense of what would you do if you got sick, was in an accident or lost your job? Besides having to sign that, the USCIS accuses you for the next five years of committing fraud demanding all kinds of proof that you are not.

We are paying practically just as much for a family health insurance plan as those I-864 minimums, and if you or your wife gets sick, what are you going to do? You certainly can't seek public or private aid once you sign that, it's a death warrant!

Just read with our very poor economy a huge surplus of H1B visas are available, professionals don't even want to come here in an attempt to earn a living.

Wanting to be with your loved one, hey, that chance only may come once in an entire lifetime if you are positively sure you want to take this step. You may be far better off joining your intended in their country. Just something to consider.

Have to say that the most stressful part of our marriage was dealing with the USCIS for almost five years, you really don't have much of a life until it's over. And we really met some bastards during that time.

Oh, and my wife is a natural citizen of Colombia, all of her family is there, and we are considering moving back there, a beautiful country, no heating and air conditioning cost and very low taxes with plenty of year round fresh vegetables. Not the mad pace we have here, and here, we are being taxed to death.
